It is a relatively small island where according to
mythology the highlands of the island are the fossil of Medusa. The
3 rd Romans used the island as a Prison.

- The monastery of Taxiarches which has to show
an important collection of - Byzantine manuscripts.
- Swimming beaches:
Mega Livadi, Sikaminias and Koutala.
