Only 2 NM from the coast of
Peloponnesus and like Hydra there are no cars only chariots and bicycles.
Until recently beautiful wooden boats were built by the local shipyards.
The island has provided the Greek fleet during the Greek revolution
against the Turks with 50 vessels. The island has nice swimming beaches at Agios
Nikolaos, Xilokeriza, Kounoupitsa, Ligoneri. Spetses offers
a very good night life

- Bouboulina's House.
- The Cathedral of Saint Nicolas.
- The monastery of Agii Pandes.
